Mr. Abdiwali Muhamed Elmi

Head of Financing

Mr. Abdiwali holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Global Business and Finance from Lincoln University Malaysia and also Master Islamic Finance (MIFP). He obtained a bachelor degree in Accounting and Business from SIMAD University. He is proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power-point Proficient in internet browsing and email correspondence. He has participated in a seminar conducted by Philip Kotler by INCEIF Brand Forum.

He is currently a candidate for The Trade Finance training, financed by African Development Bank, in its E-learning Program for African Financial Institutions in Africa an initiative of IFC arm of World Bank. He was an accountant and finance manager in Mogadishu stars trading for a period of 2 years.

Mr. Abdiwali has extensive banking experience having worked in Credit department as a credit Officer for a number of years. In 2018 he was promoted to the position of Head Microfinance where he is driving the growth in Microfinance business. He has presided over this business witnessing great achievements in coverage, business partnership and recognition from partners to the level where all our partners are continuing to appreciate the quality of the work we do, in processes and in the impact the Bank’s microfinance creates in comparison with other institutions. He is set to double the number of beneficiaries in 2019 and has plans to dramatically change the microcredit lands cape in a few years to come. (From July 2017 to date)

In his spare time teach students courses such as accounting for Islamic banks, and Islamic economic system. He is a general Member of IIUC Business Club and a Member & Volunteer in INCEIF Club of Malaysia.
